Lecture Four Reflection

Lecture four addressed the focus of the Sublime (the macro).  The history of the sublime goes back to the mid-18th Century, when there was an outburst between art and sublime - Something that was once beautiful turned into something that was feared.

James Wards Gordale Scar was a large painting of a gorge that created and evokes a feeling of terror and fear, an image that represented the walls as if they were going to close and crush you.  One point a gathered from this week’s lecture was that to create a virtual real time realistic environment, you need to create something that is evocative and induces a feeling on its user.
